Darden Towe Pickleball Courts & Expansion Project
Central Virginia Pickleball (CEVA) is collaborating with the Albemarle County Parks Foundation [ACPF] to bring 12 dedicated public pickleball courts to Darden Towe Park. The project was approved by the Darden Towe Parks Committee on March 11, 2025.
Dedicated pickleball courts are important for our community. Pickleball is the fastest growing sport in the country and continues to grow exponentially, but without more dedicated courts, access remains limited for many. CEVA Pickleball raised the necessary funds in 2021 to convert 2 of Darden Towe’s 4 tennis courts to 6 pickleball courts. These 6 courts have been the only dedicated, public pickleball courts in the Charlottesville/Albermarle community. These courts are often full and overflowing. We want everyone to have the ability to play pickleball and hope that you will support this project to completely renovate the original footprint to create 12 individually fenced pickleball courts.t
