King & Queen of the Court Tournament

Registration Details:  Registration closes 2 days prior to the event.  Your spot is not finalized and your registration is not complete until both your online payment and this Google form are received.

Event Lead:  Point of contact for this event is Sabrina Leahy ([email protected] or [email protected])

Date/Time:
Sunday, August 10 @ 7:30-10:00am - part of the Nat'l Pickleball Day Extravaganza Weekend!!

Location:  Darden Towe Park - courts reserved by CEVA for the event.

Cost:  $10 per player.  All funds support the Darden Towe Court Expansion Project.

DUPR Entered:  No

Level of Play:   All levels are welcome (3.0+ skill recommended) and levels will be organized on the courts so similar skills are matched up with one another.
We'd love to see a turnout of a large variety of player levels!  Starting court positions will be assembled based on similar skill levels reported on registration form.

Player Count:  Minimum of 20 and maximum of 40 players for event to proceed.  Waitlist available.

Waitlist:  Will be available. Waitlisted players/teams will be notified.

Sign Up Requirements:  Sign up and payment is required using the registration form.  Please do not sign up if you will arrive late or have to leave early. Your attendance impacts others’ ability to play so please arrive on time or remove your name if you’re no longer able to attend so a player from the waitlist can join instead.  This event is very popular and tends to fill to capacity.

Scoring: Traditional scoring, continue play (even if past 11) until 10 min time is up. No official score recording or DUPR entering will take place - this is rec play!

Layout:  Sign up as an individual.  10 minutes games, winners split and move up a court, losers split and move down.  4-5 minutes between games to rest, get water and reset.  Starting court positions will be based on approximate skill level reported upon registration
so like-skilled players will compete..  We'll play 8-10 rounds (games) in total.  Goal is to continue to move up the "ladder" to the highest court.  If you've joined us for previous KQ events, we've run two concurrent ladders of 5 courts each...this time, we will run one continuous ladder with all 10 courts!
