2nd Sundays King & Queen of the Court Format Play
Location: Darden Towe Park - all 10 courts are reserved for this monthly event.
Sign Up Requirements: Sign up is required on Playtime Scheduler. Please check the lists to confirm which time(s) you are signed up for and make sure you can play that entire session. Do not sign up if you will arrive late or leave early. Your attendance impacts others’ ability to play so please arrive on time or remove your name if you’re no longer able to attend so a player from the waitlist can join instead. This event is very popular and always fills to capacity.
Level of Play: All player levels 3.0-5.0 are welcome; all levels will be mixed together. Limited to 40 so all players can play all games (nobody sits out).
Player Count: We need exactly 40 players so nobody sits out any games. If 40 are not present due to no shows, the bottom court will rotate out each game.
Waitlist: For those on the WAITLIST - you’re not guaranteed a spot (sorry!) but you are welcome to show up and hang out in case anyone on the player list is a no show or leaves early (no guarantees). I’ll go in order down the waitlist for fill ins.
Scoring: Traditional scoring, continue play (even if past 11) until 10 min time is up. No official score recording or DUPR entering will take place - this is rec play!
Layout: Two concurrently played groupings of King and Queen of the Court style - 5 courts/20 players each.
Format: 10 minutes games, winners split and move up a court, losers split and move down. Random draw for starting positions. 7 games per session (2-3 min break between games). After the first session, all players participating in Session 2 will redraw (and mix courts with the other group) for random starting positions for the second session.
Cost: This event is free and open to all 3.0+ players.
